NUI Galway 2022 Sub-Saharan African Student Scholarships (Ireland)

Academic merit scholarships, ranging from €1,000 to 50% tuition price waivers, are available from the National University of Ireland Galway to assist with bachelor’s and master’s studies.

NUI Galway is dedicated to attracting top students from all over the world.

For that purpose, the University provides qualified students with a variety of merit-based partial tuition fee waivers.

These awards will be considered for undergraduate or postgraduate students from Sub-Saharan Africa who have accepted an offer to study at NUI Galway beginning September 2022.

High-achieving students from Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria.

Also, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe can apply for our Sub-Saharan African Scholarships.

How to Apply

Scholarships applicants are assessed based on academic merit. In addition, applicants will be asked to submit a Personal Scholarship Statement. (500 words maximum) covering the following points: 

  • Your interest in coming to NUI Galway.
  • Why do you believe you are a good candidate for this scholarship.
  •  How will you promote links with NUI Galway, both during your scholarship tenure and as an alumnus?
