About University of Surrey

Concerning University of Surrey
The University of Surrey was founded on September 9, 1966, when it was given a Royal Charter, although its origins may be traced back to a late 19th-century effort to increase access to higher education for London’s less affluent residents.

Our community has flourished because to solid ties and teamwork with the outside world, both from the University’s inception in the 1960s and earlier at Battersea College.

Reaching across geographical borders, we’ve developed close links with other institutions and enterprises and exploited these connections to realize potential.
